The Effects of Self-regulation Learning Activities to Promote Learning Discipline of Mathayomsuksa One Students

This research aimed to study the effects of self-regulation learning activities to promote the learning discipline of Mathayomsuksa One student before and after participating in the learning self-regulation learning activities. The population was 194 students from 6 rooms of Mathayomsuksa One in the second semester of the academic year 2021, Rajini School. The sample group was 2 classrooms of Mathayomsuksa One students in the final semester of the academic year 2021 which were obtained from cluster sampling and then simply randomly divided into 2 groups: the experimental group was 30 secondary school students room 1/2 and the control group was 32 high school students room 1/3. The experimental group participated in the Self-regulation Learning Activities to Promote Learning Discipline for 8 sessions, 50 minutes, per session. The instruments used in this research were: 1) the Self-regulation Learning Activities to Promote Learning Discipline 2) the Learning Discipline Test and 3) the Student’s Self-report towards the Self-regulation Learning Activities in each session. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, Paired-Sample t-test, and Independent-Sample t-test. The research results indicated that: 1) the post-test scores from the Learning Discipline Test of the experimental group were higher than their pre-test scores at a .05 level of significance. 2) the post-test scores from the Learning Discipline Test of the experimental group were higher than the post-test scores of the control group at a .05 level of significance. 3) After the experiment the students in the experimental group reported that participating in the activities caused students to have more self-confidence, patience, and responsibility in their work.
