Public Participation in Crime Prevention and Suppression People of Mueang Ratchaburi District

Abstract

This research has the following objectives: To study participation of people in preventing and suppressing crime of people in the area of Muang Ratchaburi Police Station and to compare the level of participation in preventing and suppressing crime of people classified by personal status. The samples used in this research include people, having names in civil registration in Mueang Ratchaburi District, numbering 306 persons. The tools used to collect information are the questionnaire was analyzed by using a statistical package used for data analysis, namely percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, One-way ANOVA. The research found that the mean of participation of people to prevent and suppress crime of people in the area of Muang Ratchaburi, in each aspect. There is overview in medium level. People had gender different participate in crime prevention and suppression no different statistically significant at the 0.05 level and people had age, Education levels, occupations were different, participation in crime prevention and suppression, was different with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
