Abstract

Objective of this research is 1) to study animal cruelty behavior of people in the Wattana area. Bangkok 2) to compare the cruelty behavior of people In the area of ​​Wattana Bangkok Classified by personal factors For this research, the researcher selected sample groups, namely people in the Wattana area. Bangkok, which has 87,225 people, comes from using the formula for calculating the population is Yamane's formula (Yamane: 48). Using quantitative research methods the samples were obtained from simple random sampling 398 people and purpose-specific sampling (Purposive Sampling). The research tool was questionnaire collection. The statistics used for data analysis were the validity of the questionnaire using the consistency index (IOC), the reliability of the questionnaire using the alpha coefficient method. (Cronbach's Alpha-Coefficient) Basic statistical values ​​were Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation, One Way ANOVA, and Correlation. Content analysis.

The study found that the samples according to variables of animal abuse behavior were at the lowest level. The average value was (X ̅ = 1.36), when considered individually, it was found that the behavior of sharp objects on animals and the least drug behavior to torture or kill animals The average value was (X ̅ = 1.28), followed by the behavior of hazardous substances to animals and the consumption behavior of living animals. The average value was (X ̅ = 1.29), respectively, the results of comparison of the cruelty behavior of people in the Wattana area, Bangkok, classified by sex. Gender sample Different people have different animal behavior. Were statistically significant at level 0.05. There were no different behaviors of animal cruelty. At the level of 0.05, the samples with different educational levels had different animal cruelty behaviors. Statistically significant at level 0. 05 The samples with different status showed different animal cruelty behaviors. Statistically significant at a level of 0.05.
