Information Technology System Development in Educational Institutions under Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research aimed to study the conditions of, as well as the comparison of, the Information Technology system development in education institutions under Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 classified by institution sizes. Samples comprise 108 basic education schools selected by Cluster random sampling and Purposive sampling. 324 informants included 3 groups of informants from each school comprised of school administrator, head of academic division, and teacher or officer responsible for Information Technology. Research tool included a five-level rating scale (Likert’s Scale) questionnaire with a reliability of .97. The statistics used were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and One-way analysis of variance: ANOVA. In case of differences at .05 level of significance, Scheffe’s duality test will be employed. The research findings showed; 1) the overall conditions of Information Technology system development was at the highest level, with highest mean scores on maintenance, followed by planning, implementation, analysis, and design whereas in terms of the school sizes, the overall level was at a high level with the highest mean score on small sized followed by medium sized and large sized school; and as for Information Technology system development in educational institutions classified by school sizes, it was found that there was no significance difference among schools with different sizes.
