Abstract

This research studied: 1) transformational leadership of school administrators; 2) the performance of the teachers; and 3) the relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and the performance of teachers working under the Kanchanaburi Primary Education Service Area Office 3. The samples were consisted of 67 school administrators and 285 teachers 285 selected via proportionate stratified random sampling. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire based on the Bas and Avolio’s 5 rating scale at .93 reliability. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and correlation coefficient Pearson. The research results were: 1) Transformational leadership of school administrators under the Kanchanaburi Primary Education Service Area Office 3 was found at a high level in all aspects. The average order can be placed in a descending value as: ‘inspiration’ ‘individual intelligence’ and ‘prestige’. 2) The performance of teachers working under the Kanchanaburi Primary Education Service Area Office 3 overall was at a high level and was high in all aspects ranging from most to least as ‘creative collaboration’, ‘role model for students’, ‘academic activities participations for professional development’, ‘students development’, ‘developing teaching instruments’, ‘systematically reporting students’, and ‘organising long-term effective learning activities’. 3) The relationship between school administrators’ transformational leadership and teachers’ performance under the Kanchanaburi Primary Education Service Area Office 3. correlated at statistically significance level of .01.
