Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study: 1) the school administrators’ transformational leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction; 2) the academic management effectiveness in schools, and 3) the school administrators’ transformational leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction affecting academic administration effectiveness in schools under the office of Ratchaburi primary educational service area 2. Samples were 310 persons including 64 school administrators, and 246 teachers based on Krejcie & Morgan table chosen by stratified random sampling. The research tool was a five-rating scale questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and Stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research results showed: 1) the overall level of school administrators’ transformational leadership was in high level, additionally, item analysis from high to low were the consideration of individualism, the creation of inspiration, the stimulation of intellect, and the idealised influence. Moreover, the overall of level of teachers’ job satisfaction was also at a high level with the teachers’ job satisfaction at the highest, followed by work achievement, career advancement, job characteristics, job’s responsibility, and recognition; 2) the overall level of academic management effectiveness in schools was at a high level ranking from goal achievement, the job satisfaction, and the living determination, and the ability to adjust oneself, respectively; and 3) The statistical significance of the school administrators’ transformational leadership in the aspect of the idealized influence, and the teachers’ job satisfaction in the aspects of the recognition and the career advancement was at .01 leading to the prediction of the academic management effectiveness in schools of about 48.40 per cent.
