Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the organisational culture of personnel working under the jurisdiction of the municipality in Ratchaburi Province; 2) study the operating environment of such municipal; and to 3) study the relationship between organisational culture and its work environment. The sample consisted of 201 participants of whom are teachers working in the 13 municipals. Data was collected with the use of questionnaire. A five point scale was used and the data analysis was done via percentage, mean, standard deviation, and coefficient analysis at 98 percent confidence level. The results showed that: 1) organisational culture was rated at a highest level on the overall, additionally, it was found that participations were highly encouraged since the personnel loved challenges, competition, and success; 2) organisational culture determines changes within the organisation both in terms of environmental adjustment and work effectiveness, in which it ultimately define the essence of its organisational value; and 3) each personnel has clear work goals, loyalty, trust, and they are rule adherence and have high task completion rate of which these are the essential keys to school development.
