The purposes of this research were to study: 1) the desirable qualities of school administrators in the 21 st century according to opinions of the teachers; 2) a comparison of the desirable characteristics of school administrators in the 21 st century according to the opinions of the government teachers. The sample group consisted of 302 teachers. The group was selected using Krejicie & Morgan stratified random sampling method. The instrument used to collect the data was a five-level rating questionnaires. The reliability was .91. The statistics used in the data analysis were mean standard deviation, t-test, F-test and ANOVA. The research results were as follows: 1) Desirable characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century according to teachers’ opinions shown that the overall and individual aspects were at a high level, ranging from the low to the highest level, namely, ethical, ethical, academic, social and community management. Self-management and organization of the system, and 2) A comparative study of desirable characteristics of school administrators classified by sex and work experience. The overall and individual aspects were not significantly different.
