Abstract

This research the objective was to study: 1) The Exercise of Power of School Administrators in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 8 Ratchaburi, 2) The Academic Management of schools operating in the area, and 3) The relationship between power application and academic management of those schools. The service area operated the total of 26 schools. A total of 302 questionnaires were used in this study. The questionnaires about power application followed the concept studied from Churchill Murray Horn. Statistical methods used for the analysis of data were percentage, mean and standard deviation, and Pearson’s Product moment correlation coefficient. The research found that: 1) The Exercise of Power of School Administrators in The Secondary Educational Service Area Office 8 Ratchaburi overall was at a high level; 2) The Academic Management of Schools in The Secondary Educational Service Area Office 8 Ratchaburi overall was at high level; 3) The relationship between power application and academic management was found to have a high positive correlation at statistically significant of .01. That is, if the school has the authority of school administrators at a high level, the academic administration of the schools was high as well.
