Abstract

This research analyzed the differences in personal factors. It aimed to find the relationship between quality of work life and organizational commitment of the Royal Thai Army Music Regimental officers. By using questionnaire, the sample consisted of 170 military officers in the Royal Thai Army Music Department. The statistics used were descriptive statistics consisting of mean, frequency and standard deviation, Independent Sample t-test, One-Way ANOVA test, and via comparative method which were the least significant difference and the Pearson correlation test at a significance level of 0.05. It was found that the majority of the officers at the music department are male, aged 31 years and not over 40 years old. The officers hold at least a bachelor's degree education. They are married or living together. They have an average monthly income of 15,001-20,000 Baht and have a working period of 5 years, not more than 10 years. They have high opinions about the quality of work life and high organization commitment level. The hypothesis testing found that different gender, education, monthly income, duration of work affects the quality of work life and organizational commitment indifferently. Different age, marital status, and rank affect the quality of working life and organizational commitment differently at the significant level of 0.05. Moreover, the relationship between the quality of work life and the commitment in the organization is statistically significant at the 0.01 level and the relationship is at the high level and in the same direction.
