Abstract

The objectives of research were as follows: 1) to study innovation and public services of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality, 2) to study the formation of innovation and public services of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality and 3) to study the problem and troubleshooting for using innovation and public services of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality. The sample was 5 executives and officials from Nakhon Pathom City Municipality. This qualified research combining documentary for public research and intensive interviews and analyze data by description. The studying research can be concluded: 1) Innovation and public service is infrastructure and utilities because it is important to the daily lifestyle of the people, such as online water bill payments and pension payments for the elderly via bank accounts. 2) The formation of public service innovation mostly originated from the people’s needs and initiatives from the city municipality's administrators. 3) The problem of implementing innovation in public services is that people lack knowledge and understanding about innovation and staff lacking expertise in innovation, Solve the problem by creating knowledge and understanding for people and municipal officials.
